I leave in 3 DAYS!! I cannot believe it. I am super excited but also nervous. Over the summer, I have been so busy with fundraising, working, and traveling, but it’s been amazing to see how the Lord has been working in my life during this time of preparation for the World Race gap year.

The Lord has been so faithful to me this summer and has given me many opportunities and blessings along the way. When I first committed to the WR gap year in November, I was so excited about going that I wasn’t bothered by the cost or the sacrifice I would make to go on this trip. As the year went on, I started to experience a lot of fear thinking about leaving everything I knew and having to find the funds to do so. At one point, I even considered not going or switching to a shorter trip, but the Lord showed up. In a season where I wanted to give up for my own comfort, the Lord put people around me who encouraged and pushed me to follow the calling on my life, even though it may be uncomfortable or difficult.

Since then, the Lord has blessed me with so many opportunities and generous people who have not only helped support me financially for this trip, but have also supported me with prayer and encouragement, which is so valuable.

In this process of getting ready to leave, I have learned that it’s okay to be uncomfortable and scared to do what God has called you to do, but it’s worth it. The Lord will provide for you and place you right where you need to be.

I have put my full trust in the Lord, and I am so excited for this next season of my life while also being nervous to step out of my comfort zone and leave what I know. I believe the Lord is going to do amazing things on this journey.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”

Proverbs 3:5-6
